About the Author

I’m currently studying the undergraduate program New Media at Ryerson University to receive a bachelor of fine arts. Most of my work centres around the visual arts, specifically in cinematography. I love taking a scene, be it in a photograph or video, and use everything in the scene to portray emotions and underlying themes in the best way possible. Some of my biggest inspirations are Christopher Nolan, Vince Gilligan, and Quentin Tarantino.

In addition to my videography, I also love doing work regarding design. There’s a certain beauty and artistic form in design, which can touch anything in the world. I believe that Steve Jobs reached this level perfectly with their consumer technologies. The iOS devices, the Macs, even the software in the machines is all eloquently designed to not only be aesthetically pleasing but also make the machines more human. Design is key to reaching the consumer, it can make products look “cool” and can turn fantastic services into visual abominations. Design is also essential in cinematography, in crafting the correct visual aesthetic for each different frame.
